Just installed Giveaway of the Day Paragon Drive Backup but I cannot figure out how to find the serial #. It says the program is activated but I never enter any serial numbers etc. Could someone give me a clue how to fix this problem before the program is not valid which would be today Wednesday 7-29-09 at 12 midnight.
Thank you

If you fill out their form with your name and email address it says you will get the registration # in an email.

I have downloaded 10 times and cannot get past the activation success. It will not install and says there is a corrupt help file. I have the codes to register but I cannot get to that page. Any help greatly appreciateI also get 'error 1325, but do not know what this is but it stops the installation dead.

copmom,
The problem is that there never is a form that I am presented with. Where can I find this "form"? The installer runs and then redirects me to the GOTD page that states it is "activated, what next?"

how did you get the activation code?

You have to open the file listed ( DB9_Prof_free_en.msi ) to be found in C:\ If your on Vista click the Windows icon, click computer, double click on your C Drive, you will see the file ( DB9_Prof_free_en.msi ) the icon looks like a monitor with a cd and box. After you open this file you should get a box in the program that says get free registration #, click on it and it will take you to a page that will ask for your name and e-mail. you will then be sent the info. Took about 10 min. Let us know what happens.
Ps. the above should also work if you have XP.Posted 15 years ago # -

I have Vista Ultimate 32 bit and I cannot install DB 9 Pro. During install I get to the "Get Free Serial" and that is as far as I go. Windows Installer says "The wizard was interrupted before Paragon Drive Backup 9 Professional could be comnpletely installed." Why won't the program run? I have tried 5 times in a row to install and the same non-result. Thanks for any light anyone can shed on this issue.

I am very frustrated with the Paragon Drive Backup Give Away Of The Day. I downloaded the program and received a working Product Key and Serial Number. Shortly after the install my PC failed. I purchased a new PC and wanted to install Paragon Drive Backup Personal Edition. When I went to download the software at the Paragon site I could only get the Express edition which has very limited capabilities - no where near the functionality of the edition provided during the Give Away Of The Day. I tried every suggestion provided but could not get a working copy of the software. I finally called Paragon support and was advised that the software that I downloaded was not available from them. They were extremely polite and spent quite some time trying to help me. After a number of suggestions it became obvious that my only option would be to purchase the software. The individual who was helping me was empathetic to my situation and offered me a 25% discount on the software. Being out of work, I could not spend the money right now. I am asking if it is possible to get the download that was originally offered. I have the original Product Key and Serial Number. I just need the original .msi file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Bernard,If the hard-drive on your failed pc Is still functional you should be able to get a copy of paragon back-up from there,Just use your new pc to read it and copy it over onto your new hard drive.

Judydog, Thanks for the idea. I was able to remove the hard drive from the failed PC and attach it to the new PC. Unfortunately the original .msi file was deleted. The program is installed on the old hard drive, will copying it to the new PC be sufficient or do I need to somehow install it? Thank you.

Judydog and all those who tried to help. Good News .... my problem has been solved as Paragon is offering a download/registration of their Paragon System Backup 2010 product. It can be downloaded at http://www.paragon-software.com/. Thank you again.

Hi to anyone who got 'Error 1325@ when trying to install DB 9 Pro.
If as hotdodge3 mentioned above you get Windows Install Clean up from Microsoft then delete the entry for DB 9 Pro you will then be able to install it without any further error messages.
Apparently if you get muliple downloads of the same program it confuses Registry which then sets up the ERROR 1325, and stops all installations.
This may not help any previous attempts to get GOTD free programs but might help if, as has happened we are not being successful in completing GOTD offerings.
