   Perhaps you would be well advised not installing and leaving things as they are.

   By the way, didn't Whiterabbit mean to indicate the publisher`s name to not be all that coincidental? This is something which the ancient Romans would have called 'nomen est omen'.

   Apart from that it' a repeat from last August, after we've already had a (second) repeat yesterday ...
   My request to GOTD would be: If for one reason or another a repeat is necessary, please go back and start with the early times (2006/2007) rather than duplicate game giveaways within six or eight months or even less.

   Ah, right it was you who posted the comment that I accidentally deleted earlier today, then I went on a rant about it in the comments section. (Comment #16 - Go to comments for Golden Prague ) I hope you read my reply. You really do jump to conclusions before researching what you say.

   Just to summarize. The post you are referring to indicates that iWin are notorious for adding aggressive ad ware to the games that they give away free. however this is not the case with their commercial games and if you checked the WOT rating on iWin’s commercial site as opposed to the site where they distribute free games, you'll find they are as clean as a whistle.

   My review was an edited version of a review I posted in August 2008, which predated the post you are linking to, and also pre-dated my knowledge about how bad free iWin games were, so my linking to the commercial arm of iWin at the time was made with no knowledge of their bad practices.

   You'll find today's game is absolutely fine. Did you see anyone complaining of their ad ware programs or AV programs picking up anything untoward, No you didn't.

   I think you were wrong to dissuade others to not download or sort out the problems they were having considering you've not researched the issue properly. Yes I did indicate that 'the name is a sign' and is synonymous with bad downloads, but I didn't say iWin games 'per se' - (there's another Latin phrase), lol - were bad.
   To ruxa, please return to the comments section or check out the game review in the forums to find several fixes for the problem you mention.

   Does anyone know why the game freezes about 4 seconds into stage 8 (the statue of the lady with a crown, in the rain)? I can't get it to work at this point, neither can I access the menu to exit, and when I try to look at my Task Manager sometimes I get a sort of corrupted Safe Mode, I'm guessing here, showing only half a screen; mostly I get nothing and have to reboot using my restart button.

   Pity because I was enjoying this game. But if it's going to corrupt my pc I will have to uninstall it. Anyone got any clues, please?

   Try updating your drivers. It may help if you get the latest display drivers, DX and audio drivers. Also try playing the game in a different screen resolution and try windowed mode as well. :) Hope the above work for you.

   Thanks for replying. How do I do as you suggest? I really don't know what you mean. Sorry, I am not technical and worry about tinkering with my computer. What are drivers? What is windowed mode? I was enjoying this game so much this is very frustrating.

   Hi Madasaballoon, If you initially installed it before the giveaway was over you should still be able to play the game as a registered game. IF you deleted it I'd check your recycle bin just in case it's still there as it is a free standing game, so should be good to go now that you've fixed the issues.

   It'll probably be repeated sometime though, so there's always next time. :)

    Oh dear, I now have another problem! I have been really enjoying this game, but today I was looking through my Pictures, which are held in Picasa. I saw some I didn't recognise so deleted them, and also from the recycle bin. I now realise that somehow they were graphics from this game and now the game opens, I can hear the music, but the screen, although lit up, is BLANK! I get the first screenshot with the picture of Mysterious Golden Prague, then nothing. Do you have any idea what might have happened and how I can restore it?

    If you haven't downloaded anything else to your computer since deleting them you could try using a restore program to get the images back.

    Alternatively I could copy the images and upload them to my filefront account for you to download. Though if you want me to do that please PM me in the forums.

    I don't have time right away as I'm busy, but i could do it later in the week.

    or better still, you could download the demo and install it to another folder and extract the images yourself.

    Unfortunately I have become so fed up with all the difficulties I have now uninstalled the game. It's a shame, but I want to play a game, not keep having to keep doing things to my computer when I am not sure what I am doing. I wish there was some way of downloading it again and just playing it for fun.
