   Almost forgot

   I watched Kaspersky 2010 during the download and the install and there was no issues. I also scanned the file in side the windows/programs x86/digiarty/winx blueraydecryter and there was no issue either.

   Maybe the after christmas I can blueray player for about 50 to 70 bucks for my computer.

   bluRay manufacturers have really hurt the reputation of the format with the complex and time-consuming encryption schemes. I had to return my first bluray player because it could not play the majority of new blurays even with updates. Now that the uncrackable encryption has been cracked many times, maybe the manufacturers will listen to their customers and drop encryption completely. That was one of the main advantages of the HD format (and also why the disc producers killed it). I've purchased only a handful of disks because I don't want to be stuck with an unplayable disc again.

   I noticed that hd players were not around for very long. I guess that is why. Wow, the manufacturer really shot themselves in the foot on that one. They create the hd plaer as hybrid for in between the real reason is to keep prices up on blue rays. Then get mad cause the hackers crack the encryption to fast on their disks and junk the whole system.
   I am guessing they finally set a formal blueray format? Well now the manufacturers are stuck mainly with just blueray the high amount of competition drives the blueray prices down.

   Now the hackers have cracked the encryption on blueray and manufacturers are back to square 1. So basically this problem relates to big manufacturers like Sony, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Pioneer, Sharp and LG.

   These are the guys that lose money from loss of bluerays being made. You can also the manufacturers on the list, the ones that junked your hd player.
   Panasonic isnt on it, it must use a sister company or is one of the companies that didnt like what was happening. They make their own disks to. I just dont see them being happy paying roylties, developing gets you a percentage.
   

   Thanks for the post mikeeve, you got me thinking about something I had been wondering about. I almost bought an Hd burner a couple of times, but restraint got the better of me. Why spend that much when, a few more bucks can get you a blueray one, ya know.That was my restraint logic.

   I'd bet they have a second generation blueray in the works with a harder encryption scheme. I have also noticed a change on the the players to divx and mkv, which is great, maybe getting rid of vob system. I hope so, talk about a waist of disk space.
