Each time I run "Setup", the activation starts, but immediately stops with the error message "Failed to connect. Try again later. I downloaded the GOTD again, unzipped it and same "failure". I instructed my Comodo Firewall to allow "Setup" to connect. Same error message. I'm, of course duly connected! This is the first time I experience this kind of problem with GOTD. My problem is it's almost 1 o'clock in the morning over here (I'm 73 and do need my night's rest ;-) and this GOTD only runs for another 8 h. and 10 min.

I just started having the same exact problem!! Exactly as you described it, except I don't have Comodo. Thanks for posting - at least I know it's not just me or my laptop. I've been having some weird problems lately - (see http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/forums/topic/66072 ), so I didn't know what to think!

Having the same problem. Using Windows 8/ 32 Bit. It started yesterday. I am trying today to open/download Project Dogwaffle Howler 8.2 (Special Edition). Tried it 3 times. Hmmm.

If you are using Firefox or Chrome as your main browser I.E. still needs to be online. Check I.E. to make sure it is. Other fixes include clearing out your internet cache and re booting your modem/router.
If you can't find your I.E. shortcut type internet explorer into your search field. In win 8 the I.E. shortcut will appear.
