   Please help - I can't get today's game giveaway "Treasure of Persia" activated.
   It always stops at the "Activating..." screen, telling me it's connecting
   to game.giveawayoftheday.com for checking key availability. But it simply hangs
   at that point. I usually do NOT have any problems with activating giveaways.
   Shutting down my firewall also didn't help. Any idea/solution?!

   Try clearing out your internet cache. Sometime the page that's stored in the internet cache specific to a particular page can get corrupted. If this happens it can cause problems. If that doesn't work try rebooting your modem and router (if you have one); finally, tryturmning off your firewall temporarily. I hope one of the above fixes works for you.

   thanks for the hints, but they didn't help. I've rebooted PC and modem/router,
   cleared Firefox' cache and shut down the firewall. Always the same result. :-(
   Too bad, I really wanted to try this game.

   Just as a thought, (not that I have a solution), but we often have people posting on problems with activating/installing. We should create a sticky with a list of stuff to try so that you can activate it...

   I had the same problem. Tried every possible solution--reboot, clear cache, try mirror link, turn off firewall, turn off AV, everything-- but still no activation. This happened to me once before with a game recently. I've been downloading from here for a couple years now without a problem until very recently.
