If someone could help me please, I am trying to setup dos box with Norton commander, I followed the steps on the page and I still can't get dosbox to load right. The steps are confusing as far as what to put in what folder. If someone could give me the rundown as far as what to put in what folder It would make my day. Thanks printer2

Somebody should be able to help you, printer2, so don't worry. Our good games moderator, WhiteRabbit, is one of the people here very familiar with DOSBOX. He's in England, so his bedtime will be coming around soon, and he might be over moderating the comments in Gamegiveawayoftheday right now, but he should see it eventually. If he doesn't in the next day, you could ask him by personal message. But you should have an answer by then. We've got some other folks pretty comfortable with DOSBOX, too. Not me, though. Just keep checking back.

Hi Printer2. Sorry that the instructions weren't good enough. As Watcher points out I've been busy moderating and also doing other stuff. I
If no one else gets around to helping by the time I have the time, I'll write a step by step guide for you; however, I'm really tired atm, but still want to play some of my games before I go to bed.
I'm trying to take out a SAM missile site in Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, but keep getting my squad wiped out. I'm determined to get the mission completed before I turn in, lol. Also tomorrow I'm going to be busy doing similar things so it'll probably be Monday at the earliest.

THANK YOU, I not in a hurry, when you have time will be fine. I have everything downloaded just not in the right place. Like I said before this is all new to me.

What was the last thing you did printer? I consider myself the resident dosbox expert lol It'll help me help you if I know what you've done so far. I'm assuming you've seen my tutorial on how to set up dosbox by the way.

I was hoping you'd reply right away, I'm off to watch a movie with my family. I'll give you a really quick run down:
1. Create a Dos Games Folder
2. Put the Norton Commander file in the Dos Games Folder
3. From there, all you have to do is insert the mount commands in the dosbox.conf file *please see the tutorial on how to locate the conf in the new version of dosbox*
4. Once that is all done, start downloading games and save them in the Dos Games folder.
5. At the top of the screen when you open dosbox will be "..." click on that and you can navigate to the game of your choice.
Hope that helps =)

Thanks wizard; I've not got the time to write a tut up at the moment. :) I hope your vacation has been okay so far. :) There's a free and large Killing Floor release coming in the next few weeks. :)

p.s.
How about a game of KF this Monday? :)

@ stephen : a game monday sounds great. I've not had much time for leisure as I've been out with my parents practically all week lol but it's much better than work. The earlier in the day, the better. Afternoon is great....only because I want some time to cook dinner for Carolina =P Although, I can play later in the day and it shouldn't be a problem. Whatever works best for you is fine with me really.
By the way, printer and I are working on a solution for their problem via pm's. When we've reached a solution, I will post it here in case future problems of the same ilk.

excellent (for both)
regarding Killing floor, between 1pm and 4pm (your time) isn't good because we spend that tme doing homework and getting the kids ready for bed, but if you want we could play for an hour or so from 4pm? Though we could spend a few hours playing from 9am your time if that isn't too early. Michelle gets home from work around 11.30am your time, so we could play anytime between 9am to 11.30am
Hey, did you get Red Faction Guerilla with 25% off. I'm glad they did add it to the deals this weekend. Considering it's only been out for several weeks I think 25% was great. It'll probably be 40 to 50% the next time it comes up for a deal. (similar to Left 4 Dead.
I'm at a loss what to buy next? I fancy Borderlands, but think Dragon Age Origins may be a better buy; plus now they have Avatar: The Game that also looks amazing, and which is being released around the time Left 4 Dead 2 is released (a few days later). I've saved enough to buy two games plus Painkiller: Ressurection, but don't think I can afford all five at the moment. Decisions Decisions. Which would you buy? :)

It'll have to be 4 as I'll be in class from 9-11:30, i actually get out at 11:30 lol. That sounds good to me if it's good for you.
I would go with Dragon Age, and personally going off of my own experiences...avatar will be rubbish lol. Every time I get excited about games like that, I just get let down. I didn't pick up Red Faction as I wanted to wait until it was cheaper lol.

We found the problem: When printer created his dosgames folder, he named it dos games with a space. When he tried to set the mount, he used dosgames instead. That one little space was screwing everything up lol.
