   The Story:

   A little robot who’s been thrown out to the scrap yard behind the city must return and confront the Black Cap Brotherhood and save his robot-girl friend.

   Machinarium world is populated only by robots of various forms and functions. One of the most interesting places in this world is old, rusty and legendary city of Machinarium where the game takes place.

   You have to get rid of wicked robots from the Black Cap Brotherhood, save the head of the city and also your robot girlfriend

   There are many logical puzzles, adventure quests, brain teasers and mini-games to play and solve.

   Backgrounds and characters are 2D hand-drawn and there is more than one hour of carefully crafted animations

   The original soundtrack was composed and recorded by Floex (Samorost2 OST)

   Communication: You won't find any lengthy boring dialogs in this game, characters talk by comic bubbles with simple animations and symbols

   I remember the first time I saw Samorost; someone here pointed to it and I was utterly impressed with it. I could never understand why it was only available as a browser flash game and not a downloadable game. I'd have happily paid for it. The second one was just as good and thankfully you can buy that for a minimal contribution if you want a downloadable version.

   As for this I will definitely be buying it. :)

   Here’s a few more images taken from the first page of demo. If you’re stuck you have to build the robot. Click on the upturned tin bath. This causes a small object to be exposed, click on that, which makes it fall to the ‘ground’, then click on it again. It assembles itself into a robot. That’s as far as I’ve got so far, lol. I was too captivated by the minute detail the artist has created. The following images are all taken from the same page.

   I noticed this a little while go when I was on steam, it looks sweet. Games that have this look, capture my attention. Its like a shiny object,ooo it sparkles.

   So if the game sucks, I get even more ticked off than usual.

    I have to say that I am really fascinated with the authors artwork, truly ingenious imagination. This game will be a must have for me just based on that.

    The art work is what does it for me also. I'm a sucker for anything with hand drawn artwork, for example Braid, Blueberry Garden, Trine, And Yet It Moves and now this. Apart from Trine none of the others comes anywhere near this game for beauty.

    That's exactly what "makes" a game for me also, and a game will "grab" me just for that. I'll also not be able to get into a game because of graphics. It's truly what can make you "love" a game. And oh, I've had many an affair with games. Lol.
