Hi. I just had to reinstall Vista due to a bunch of problems I was having.....days of back & forth with techs failed to fix the problems. Anyway, I lost all my links & I know I had a few to sites that gave away free full versions of games (most were ad supported). I know I first got the links here but I can't find the posts. If anyone can help me out, I'll be grateful!

Don't forget about the ones Big Fish Games gives away through Free Stuff Times web site, freestufftimes.com. Go to that web site and look for Software, on the left of the page. The software game link will take you to the distributor's download page, but you have to access it through freestufftimes.com. Though sometimes the site will have a giveaway offer directly advertised on its own site, most times not.

Arcade Town may let you play games, online, for free, but their downloads are 60-minutes-only trials. I tried it with Call of Atlantis; didn't get to play it because a previous trial had already expired.

Thanks everyone!
RosnSC- most of the Arcade Town games are free for long enough for me to finish the games....I don't think I ever had one that quit on me after an hour.
I remember I had a link to Free Ride Games but it came with a game player/organizer download & player quit working on me & when I contacted an administrator they never bothered to reply to my questions.

Don't forget Gametop and the games synopsis
Also you'll find most of the best of the freely available free games over in the free games synopsis, where you'll find links to around a thousanfd games of most genres:

@Whiterabbit .. for some reason I was thinking you had posted a little while ago about GameTop having some questionable issues. All I know is I didn't like the amount of commercials they were showing vs. GameHouse, so I quit going to GameTop. If they are any better than they were, and trustworthy, then I'd gladly go back & give them a second chance.

btw, thanks everyone for all the other great site links .. checking them out NOW! tee hee

Jenany, you confuse GameTop with GameHouse.
GameHouse has all the commercials.
GameTop only opens their homepage when you shut the game down. Since some weeks GameTop has added a toolbar to the installation of some games and tries to change your homepage. But you can opt it out.
I never download from GameHouse after having read their fineprint, but for me is GameTop top - LOL.graylox

notbloclox has it in one jenany. I'd certainly keep getting games from them; just make sure the tick boxes that are presented during installation are unchecked. The games are of a high quality and the minor inconvenience of your browser opening after you close the game is easily remedied by using the X in the top right hand corner of the window. There's no come back once you've turned the page off. The one advantage you have with the home page opening like that is that you can check to see if any new games have been added to their growing catalogue. When I first discovered Gametop early in 2006 they had about 30 games, now it's more like a hundred and still growing. The one genre they don't have yet is hidden Objects, but I'm sure we will start to see those soon as well. :) They together with FreeGamePick are the only sites I'll download commercial games for free. I don't like the in game advertising that you get with Gamehouse games; it spoils the game play for me. When they first started the free games the adverts only appeared a couple or three times during a game play session, but suddenly that changed and now you get adverts popping up every few levels with some of the games. I got fed up of that real quick and don't bother with them now. I get enough arcade games via Alawar (which I get a generous discount from for beta testing) and from Big Fish games, but I’m thinking of closing my BFG account as there’s no reason to keep it now as there’s no advantage to having a membership as all games are priced the same; plus most of their games are now hidden object games. I like them, but it's gone over the top with them, with a new one being released every day (almost). Someone’s making a big profit out of those, lol.
