I'm really enjoying the game but its annoying me that it seems to have to be played full screen. Did I miss something? Is there a way to make it windowed? Also, is anyone else having problems with the game freezing at the beginning of each new chapter? I'm on a pretty new computer with cable internet....this is the first game I've had this type of problem with since I bought this new computer.
Is anyone playing 3 cards to midnight?

Dawn.....I'm playing it....and loving it :)....anyway, no there doesn't seem to be a way to play it in windowed mode, in fact there aren't any options that I could find other than the difficulty level. (I would like the option to turn down the background music). I'm not having any problems with freezing either. Are you sure that's what's happening? I mean.....it does take 5 or 10 seconds for the new chapter to load, is that what you're referring to? I'm running Vista 32 bit, how about you?

I'm running Vista 64 bit. I did realize at the very beginning that it took a few seconds for the cut scenes to load, but on the 2nd chapter it just hung there. I had to close the game & when I restarted it, it came right up. It happened again on another cut scene but since I posted about it, its started running fine. LOL Murphy's law I guess.

I opened this and couldn't see the menu or other buttons so I had to close it through the Task Manager and then adjust my screen size. It's very small and hard to see. The worst thing about this game for me is the TERRIBLE actors. I can't even listen to them and skip the plot scenes. With all the time and money spent developing this game you'd think they could find better actors to do it. I like that it's different and as much of a word game as a HOG.
I'm alternating between playing this and Treasure of Mystery Island which I had to restart because it froze on the cheese in the maze puzzle and won't let me move the cheese.

I don't have this game, but you could check out the developer's forum or ask your question there. You will find the forum here: http://www.bigfinishgames.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3&sid=a6c749ea7f65e437c07042e79b3392dd
It appears it may have to be played in full screen. There are questions on the forum and explanations about how to change the resolution. Also, the chapter bug and freezing issues are addressed. There are also patches, but if you bought from someone else (e.g. BFG) you may have to contact them about making sure they have the patches.
Here is the e-mail address for getting support direct from the developer: bigfinishgames.support@gmail.com.
Unfortunately, the support site ran very slowly this morning and often timed out. If that happens just try again and it probably will work.
BTW, these developers are the same people that did the old Tex Murphy adventure games.

Campy....Thanks for the info....actually this game was a "freebie" from Gamehouse. I really like the game and will probably finish it tonight. I'm glad they offer these free games because although some of them are great fun to play they are so short I would be very disappointed if I had paid for them, especially when it's the type of game you wouldn't want to play a second time.
Dawn.....Yeh, that Murphy guy should be locked up for coming up with that law....lol :P

Thanks for the info Campy. The issue seemed to resolve itself after a couple chapters. I really like the game & I'm glad the puzzles between chapters are a bit more challenging than on most games.
BK, I know what you mean. I rarely buy games for that very reason. I'm a member of some survey sites where I can earn amazon.com gift cards so occasionally I'll "buy" a game from amazon. At least after I play, my 15 year old daughter will sometimes play so it gets 2 uses. I won't pay for these games with my real money though...it's just not worth it.

Finished the game last night.....what a let down! I couldn't believe the ending....big build-up and then......nothing. UGH! Sure glad I didn't pay for this one.
