I downloaded this and installed it okay, but it says I need the flash player ActiveX control from http://www.adobe.com. I installed the flash player, but it still says the same thing: I need the flash player ActiveX control. How do I do this? Thank you for any help.

What Operating System are you running? This could have some implications on this sort of thing. You could also take a look at this article: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_19166&sliceId=2

Thank you, Jaddis. I looked at the article and did what it said. Still no go. I then DL flash player for IE, not just Firefox. I crossed my fingers, clicked my heels together and double clicked the Web Video Downloader. It worked!! Great!! Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

i have Windows XP Pro SP3 and SeaMonkey 1.1.15. Downlöoad and installation of the file without problems. But if I start the web video downloader, after that start SeaMonkey and go to YouTube and start a video there is NO indication of download in contrary to the operating instruction video.
If I put in the Youtube www adress I got a short file which contains no video.
