This s/w seems to have a serious bug! A few strange and worrying things happened on my system: After I had installed and activated the software, when I clicked "Options" the installation programme of another s/w on my computer started. When I cancelled it, things seemed ok. Then another programme crashed. Then - and that is the really bad part - my AntiVirus software (AVG Antivirus Pro) disappeared. Restarting the computer didn't help, the software was uninstalled. The same thing happened to a friend, who also runs AVG, after she installed DriverMagician today. Beware!

I thought it was a great program at first, but it can install the wrong drivers, plus if you uninstall it, you can't reinstall it. At least I couldn't it. It kept telling me that it couldn't connect with GOAD. On another note, one of the wrong drivers it installed was for my ethernet card for my hp7100y, which is an p5lp-le asus motherboard I believe. I also had a us robotics wireless adapter installed and was wanting to put in a broadcom driver.,so I shoulda paid much more attention. It laso installed the wrong audio driver for it to, which is what set it all motion.
I couldn't hear, so I went to trying to install the right driver, but it kept dropping the signal. with it also being wired in is what brought my attention to that issue. On the computer I built, which is evga 750a, it worked perfectly, even with it being a 64 bit system. I noticed some drivers it wanted to install that I thought wasnt worth it. FOr instance. It wanted me to install an older driver for evga 8800gt, plus a n-force driver for the motherboard that wasn't even listed.I think 15.24 is the main one on nvidia and it listed 20.89 or close to that.
I also put it on my Dell, but it listed all the drivers as current.Strange.
Please don't think this is a gripe ya'll. I think this program has huge potential. It just needs some bugs worked out.
Other than not being able to get my license going again on my HP, I'm pretty pleased with it, but I haven't looked at what the asking price is for it though, either.

AVG was uninstalled! Some files were still there but had been renamed. In my friend's case, restarting the computer helped, so AVG was possibly just disabled, but I had to reinstall. I don't like software, that uninstalls my virus protection!

Click up date drivers and get very old drivers, like if you got ver 7 and new is ver 11 it get's ver 7 not a up date! old!

That happened to me too hotdoge3. Not only did it recommend older drivers but as txnnok found out, it also recommends some totally wrong drivers. I did the same thing as txnnok did. I didn't pay enough attention and consequently fought with my sound card for an hour or so before getting sound back. Driver Magician finally died at the hands of Revo uninstaller. May I never see it's likes again.
