You hopefully are in a part of the world where this game is still being offered.
I have been playing non stop this afternoon and thoroughly enjoying it.
It is NOT, repeat NOT, like your run of the mill HOG.
It combines a travel type genre with clever and witty searches, and an interesting story.
MANY times, things have to be combined or used in some way.
Plus there are clever mini games which (thankfully) can be skipped if so wished..
It strongly reminds me of Treasure Masters but is even better.
:)
Gamehouse game; " Berlin Nights" GREAT!!!

I'm playing it, Merri... just about to get into it again. It is quite different and varied to keep your interest. Aw, tell me you don't skip the mini games. Lol! I usually look forward to those. Anyhoo, was impressed with the bit I played last evening, so t'was good to read your insight on it. I look forward to more! I'm in the USA East Coast, so it'll be offered here till around 3 AM. Got your world maps everyone? :)

Midori, that's where I am, and I already got it - around lunchtime, in fact. I haven't played any of it yet - been playing Tumblebugs again.

Ohhhh Tumblebugs. How I love that game... (off to dig out Tumblebugs...)

Yep (midori), after I learned a couple of 'things' about Tumblebugs, it got even more enjoyable playing it. In fact, I have played it all the way through at least once. :D
Sue, adding in there - don't ask how many times she has played Atlantis Quest through, and she is on yet another round of it - level 7, she thinks...lol

Hey, I've yet to get all the way through Tumblebugs, but tonight I sored through several levels I couldn't get through. Your inspiration maybe? Or perhaps wisdom and age. Lol! +:-D

On the subject of Gamehouse - it's a bit disappointing that they've now removed the description of the free game so that you can readily see whether it might be the type of game you're interested in; you now have to click on the download button for it to display "While you wait Try one of these games:" to know it's genre.
Fortunately for me, the download never starts first time and so I get to see this info before starting the download at the second opportunity.

Spodo, you can always search the game the day before on the site
and see what type of game it is before you download it, thats what
I've been doing.. .)Posted 16 years ago # -
LOL Midori..I knew that you would be well into to it too!
YES I am a wimp when it comes to the mini games(although I WOULD like to have the option to access them later, at any time..that would be good!)
Yes it is quite the different game; I am impressed so far!
I am on the west coast of Canada where it is only offered until 12 midnight..

I looked at today's offering and searched for it to read people's reviews too.
It looks an ok HOG but has a time management factor which I rather dislike.
Each to their own!

LOL about tumblebugs!
I have it too and was so into it at one time...

Ah, yes, it was such a joy to bop those little critters about again and not have to LOOK for anything... lol. :D And I agree... Gourmania starts out seemingly easy, but then it seems you start running out of time rather quickly, trying to fill orders from food and containers that's strewn all over the room and floor... Health Department alert!

So I wasn't missing anything...lol!
Yes Tumblebugs is very therapeutic ..and NO eye strain..lol!
LOVE Berlin nights though!Posted 16 years ago # -
Me too, Spodo. I just locate the game somewhere, either at that site, or another, and read up on it. I don't know why they changed it, but it is kind of a hassle. Doesn't stop me from getting it if I want it, though...lol.
Merri and midori, I found a couple of 'tips' pertaining to the levels and the lives you get that made a BIG difference for me. You can 'unlock' things if you know where to go to do so. ;)
