Help needed,
Currently starting up my own private investigators business but need a variety of related freeware to compliment the services I can provide to a client base. I'm looking for freeware to try to help with remote access monitoring, password recovery or revealer, tools to aid in computer activities. Can't afford to buy at this point because of limited client base and not enough resources for me to provide.
investigative tools, spyware, remote access freeware

Head to Lifehacker.com and enter those terms into their site search. Each of your search terms have triggered memories that these subjects have been dealt with in the past.

If you're starting a private investigators business but you're in the dark about search engines??? Whatever you do, Do Not Give-up Your Day Job! (sorry, I couldn't resist) :)
But seriously, knowing how to use search engines to find and access local, state, and federal public record databases will be your lifes blood. I'd suggest you take advantage of some free online learning on the subject. Here one I recommend to get you started:

And so there are no hard feelings for my wise crack, here is a link to an article that was in PC World titled "9 Sites That Find People and Their 'Sensitive' Information" I believe you'll find it quite informative. Good Hunting!

Needs to be said--just make sure that the way you're using these tools is legal. Otherwise you may find yourself in the defense box.

Absolutely, I just need to pointed in the right direction as to the freeware that's available, from there I can identify what is within the law.
Thanks
Actually, when I was working in the field with a federal entity, there was software available for law enforcement use only. Skip trace, computer forensics, etc.Posted 16 years ago # -
BuBBy take a very sharp carpet cutter and just cut the stains out...
A good advice from me, first of all you should stash the body away, otherwise you will get even more stains ...
Some more questions?
Just google:

BuBBy... hydrogen peroxide is wonderful for getting out blood stains! When our dog injured her nose and the artery was spurting blood all over my WHITE couch it worked wonders.. it breaks down the enzymes in blood!
Now if you're using it for murdering someone and need to get rid of the mess from that.. maybe you'd better pass on the whole thing!Posted 16 years ago # -

Yankee, not sure if you are still looking into these things, but here are the best imho. Make a Facebook, MySpace, and Classmates account. You can do these for free (Classmates will want you to pay, but you dont have to.). With everyone seeming to be looking for people in there past these sites have come a long way in search for people. You may not get a lot of private info, but it is amazing who you can find and with a little common sense what you can figure out about people on there. Not to mention if you leave your page vague you can chat back and forth with many people and get them to give up stuff. I have to say it but in this day and age people act more protective than they are about their info. I know that I have had to have a lot of talks with my youngest (she is 13) about what she thinks is safe on her page and what actually is.

LOL watch out aRenegade, your starting to sound like me!
I can't help Yankee because all my software is for Law Enforcement but you have been given some great advice. Just a little advice, each state has different laws concerning "The Right of Privacy". For instance here in KY if you are recording someones voice, at least one person in the conversation must know. IE if you and I were on the phone and I was taping the conversation, I would know (you wouldn't) but its legal. BUT if I set up a tape recorder on my phone unknowing to anyone else in my household and you were talking with my wife/girlfriend unknowing to you both it would be Illegal because I was not in the conversation.
Research your state laws before taking on a venture that could end up very badly for you. (A couple of Bounty Hunters are in prison for unlawful imprisonment. Bail Bondsmen are Illegal here and so are there agents.)
Sincerely,
