Update, I have all my MB games back and they merged my two accounts. However, the majority of my games are missing. These are all the ones that I got for free. They used to have a free daily game. I sent them an email asking for restoration of about 6 of them that I really want (mostly word games) so we'll see what happens. I'll have to try playing some of them off the flash drive I copied it to and see what happens. That didn't work with the MB games.

Terri,
I didn't get the "daily free games" from them. However, I don't know that I actually paid for any of my games. I either got them from a free offer, the old Parade Magazine (Sunday Paper) back when there was RealArcade, or from codes (as I did the last 2).
I only lost 4 games total -- 2 I could find no records for on my side so I didn't even ask them for them back (I'm not unreasonable -- I have no proof) and 2 they don't have anymore. One, I think they do but the name changed and it's not a big deal -- I have that one as an install .exe file.
If you have date/order numbers for even your free games, you should be able to get them back -- or codes to replace them with.

The flash drives don't work and the Support person insists I would have gotten a receipt for the free games which is totally not true so it looks like I'm out of luck. Oh and now the login doesn't work again. It is definitely their site that is messed up.
I was thinking of joining their Fun Pass on the yearly rate but not after all of this. When are websites going to realize that when they "improve" things and mess up what was working fine, they lose customers?

Terri,
I had a problem for a while, which explains why I had 3 different IDs with them. At various times, my email provider would stop sending me the emails from them. When that happened the first time, I changed to a different email address from the same provider. That worked for a while and then that one started to fail. I switched to a 3rd email which is where most of my games were.
At that time, you were not able to change your email address and when you asked about it, they said to just create a new ID. What happened if your old email was no longer valid, they never did say.
When they merged IDs, the one they chose was the oldest one. Fortunately, that one now accepts emails again and if it does start having problems, you can now change your email address! That's a big plus and will prevent the confusion of multiple IDs.
I never would consider the funpass or anything like that for any of these companies. For the most part, I am satisfied with freebies.
That being said, I admit that there was one game that I was considering when they gave me codes to replace the games they lost on me. I chose another game because that one was similar (same series) as 4 other games and was also available at BigFishGames. BFG had a 60% off sale the other day and I got "Clutter V: Welcome to Clutterville" to complete my Clutter series. BigFish often has 50% off sales and almost as often goes higher percent off. I got it for $3.99! The other game, "Super Collapse! Puzzle Gallery 3," I'm hoping to someday get another freebie code from GameHouse to get. No one else has it that I can find (and trust). I've got 1 and 2 free and bought 4 and 5 with the free codes they gave me.

What really hurts is that most of the games that I was able to get back are now duplicates since I got them in the Steam bundles.

I'm not involved in Steam at this time (with no current plans on it). I'm still hoping to get Super Collapse! Puzzle Gallery 3 some day but I won't pay GameHouse's price since there are always so many sales at BigFish.
With BigFish, I have the setting in the game manager set to keep it out of my hair but I still change the shortcut I get from them to bypass their game manager entirely -- less overhead. My only complaint with them is I don't like having to download every time I want to install. There's always the chance that they could have a "meltdown" as Gamehouse did.
I now have full records of date/order numbers for both sites now to try to minimize any damage.

I also had the same problem. I just gave up ideas to solve it and started using Steam. Now I don't have many games, but I don't regret anything

OscarBurton thank you so much for reminding me I have these games. I haven't played Mortimer Beckett in so long it took me a while to remember what MB games were. I still have them on my computer along with the other ones Gamehouse restored. I never did get all of the others back.

Funny how the pieces have gotten so much smaller.
