I've just downloaded a game from JenKat. I've played several of theirs without any problem and they seem like a good, reputable site. However, as with other places I have to make sure that I decline all the various software that they try to tempt me with before I get to the download. The last of these was one I haven't seen before - some games from a site called "Free Ride Games". Does anyone have any experience of this particular site? It looks OK and has some nice-looking HOGs etc, but I'm very wary of downloading anything without checking it out first.

First, the site gives a "WOT warning". That's not a good thing.
Also, they're ad-supported. To get them without the ads, it's $6.99/month! You also seem to have to use their player (game manager probably).
I would steer-clear from this site personally.

My experience with Free Ride Games is from about 2 years ago and it may be different now.
There was a game manager and 4-6 games that I didn't pick (or want) were automatically downloaded....without my permission.
There was a "L" shaped banner of ads whenever I tried to play a game....this made the game screen smaller (a bit larger than windowed size). The ads were brighter than the game screen and some of them flashed. This was distracting and even worse it gave me a headache.I didn't get a virus from the site/games but I've read that others have.
I uninstalled Free Ride Games after a few days.

Personally I don't mind the ads if the game is free although they can be a bit of a nuisance. I find with the free game of the day from Gamehouse the number of times an ad comes up is quite varied - the real annoyance is when it tries to run a script and freezes till I tell it not to! But I don't want to get stuff downloaded that I don't know about, and I don't want ads around actually during the game. Doesn't sound very promising.
